چکیده

This paper presents a possible realization of a (CD)MA multiuser communication system. The state variables of two synchronized chaotic Chua’s circuits are thereby used to generate identical continuous valued spreader sequences in the transmitter and the receiver. To create a higher degree of randomness in the signatures, the state variables are processed by a k-shift cypher. The performance to be expected for such a system as opposed to designs using binary spreaders can be estimated theoretically. For verification, extensive simulations were run that allow for a direct comparison of the chaotic spreader with a traditional binary Gold sequence or a sequence of continuous random numbers, respectively, in terms of the achievable bit error ratio for a given data rate and number of simultaneous users per channel. A brief description of the system and channel models implemented in the simulation program is provided. The simulation results are presented and discussed.

Multiple Access Communication Based on Control of Special Chaotic Trajectories

The necessity of simultaneous access to one communication channel by many users, e.g., in satellite communication systems or cellular telephony, has led to the development of the corresponding standards: FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access) and TDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access). Increasing requirements to the communication channel transmission rates gave rise to the appearance of C...

Performance Evaluation of Different DS-CDMA Receivers Using Chaotic Sequences

Spreading codes play an important role in multiple access capacity of DS-CDMA system. M-sequences, gold sequences etc., has been traditionally used as spreading codes in DS-CDMA. These sequences are generated by shift registers, which are periodic in nature. So these sequences are less in number and this limits the security. This paper presents an investigation on use of new type of sequences c...

Performance Enhancement of Mc-ds/cdma System Using Chaotic Spreading Sequence

A novel chaotic spreading sequences for multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MCDS/CDMA) system is proposed. With this spreading sequence in the MC-DS/CDMA system, the effect of multiple access interference can be mitigated by choosing the spreading sequences with appropriate crosscorrelation properties. The performance of the system is assayed in the multiuser environmen...
